How to run a Sega Genesis emulator on PS2

There is already here on the site a guide to how to play the PS2 SNES. Similarly, there is also a way to play Sega Genesis in the Playstation 2. Thanks to the emulator PGen.

What do I need?

You need a Playstation 2 and released a CD blank CD. It may be that CD, DVD need not be, unless you just turn your video DVDs

If your video is not released, try the Magic Swap.

How you do it

The PGen can be installed on the memory card or recorded on CD, with or without ROMs. By find it more practical, as show below the record with the CD ROMs. In addition to CD for use as a normal game, do not consume precious space in the memory card.

First you must download the emulator. Download the version 1.2 at http://www.gamebase.ca/pgen/downloads/pgen-1.2.zip. Unzip in any directory.

Now you will burn the CD with the files. At the root of the CD, you will place the files PGEN_12.ELF and SYSTEM.CNF. Also create a directory on the CD ROMS (or another name if desired) and place your ROMs inside. If you want, you can create subdirectories to organize. Burn the CD using MODE2/XA. When in doubt, use the same instructions for the SNES emulator (instructions: K3b or Nero).
Additional Information

From version 1.4 of PGen you can load from pendrives ROMs and hard drives (if your have a PS2). However the latest version on the site is 1.2. In Wikipedia has a link to a purported version 1.5.1, but not come to test.
